MHS Genesis Patient Portal – The TRICARE-based web-based patient portal will remain in use until all records are transferred to the MHS (Military Health System). Before the migration, the new system will integrate fully with the Genesis software. After the migration is completed, all records will have been cross-checked and checked in the new system.
This will ensure that all information regarding healthcare is accurate. This allows patients to receive accurate and up-to-date diagnoses and treatment from their doctors.
MHS Genesis Patient Portal
To access the secure section of the TRICARE portal, the password system requires administrator privileges. Administrators have the ability to change the password at any time. Security is a major concern for the Genesis Patient Portal because many people could share the same password between different companies. Security has been a major topic in the system.
After the system is set up, users need to log in to change the default settings to MHS Genesis. This will allow the system to connect with the Tricare system. After logging on, the user chooses the default portal and submits the new login. This is how the tool secure portal connects for the first time.
Each MHS clinic can either use the default settings of the system or modify it to suit their needs after it has been installed. Each clinic can choose whether or not they want to post digital photos on their website. The Genesis system also offers a private messaging system that allows staff to communicate. This allows active duty doctors to communicate with the clinic’s online schedulers.
During the go-live event, each clinic will be prompted to log in. Each user will be asked to verify their patient information. This displays the MHS Genesis Patient Portal information. Each user is prompted to submit any additional health care documents they wish to use.
It can take as long as 30 minutes to go live for the system. After the system is live, all official sites can accept new patients and start treating them. Patients can access their medical history and learn about the current treatments. Clinics and healthcare professionals can now access this new system, which increases patient convenience and improves patient care.
