1. Begin by visiting www.icivics.org.

2. Choose the purple button which indicates “Sign In” in the upper right-hand corner. An entirely new page will pop up.

3. Next, choose “Register as Student” from the purple box. Student” in the box in purple:

There are two methods to sign up as students: (1) with a class code, and (2) using the email address. If your teacher has shared your class code and you want to use it, follow method One. If you do not have the class code, you can follow Method Two. There is no need for an iCivics class code in order to use the iCivics.

Method One: Class Code

A class code has to be provided to a student through the iCivics certified teacher. If you already have the class code, please follow the steps in this heading. If you don’t have an account with a class code, go to the next section (“Method Two email”)

4. Input your class code and your first and last names in the spaces. You can opt to include an email address right now or later once your profile is established. A contact email address can assist in the event that it is necessary to reset your password however, you don’t require one if you already have the class code.

5. Once you have entered this information, you’ll make a new username and password to access your account. Once you’ve completed this you can hit “Finish” and you’ll be logged into your brand new student account.

Method Two: Email

You can also sign up for your student account by with your email address. It is not necessary to have an account with a class code to use this method. If you click “Sign into” in addition to “Register as a student” (as explained in the upper left) you’ll be redirected to the registration for the class.

4. If you want to register without a class number, select the bottom, that says “I don’t have any class code”

5. You’ll be directed by this display. Enter your name, first and last along with your email address.

6. If you hit “Next” when you click “Next,” you’ll be asked to enter your password.

Once you have completed this, you will be directed to this screen that is going to remind you that it’s time for you to check your email account and then open the email that we sent to confirm your new student account.

7. Check your account, then log in.

If you don’t receive our email inbox, make sure to check your spam folder, or select “Resent Confirmation”.
